Barbara ran to see what her brute was looking at. "What? What is it? Trouble?"
"Out there, see them?"
A small rabble had gathered near the tideline. Steve and Nancy came running up with their two boys. "Who are they?" Steve asked.
Barbara had a good look, her eyes being better than most. She spied them and let know what she thought. "There's five of them, average men and well armed. I'm going to see what they are up to. You all wait here."
