"Hey did you hear?"
"No what?"
"I think he ran off into the forest just a moment ago."
Marie was behind the counter, unseen and unnoticed. She pricked her ears up as they spoke.
"That man wanted on theft and murder, what was his name?..."
"Sarganno?"
"Yeah that's it! I thought I seen him run off into the forest. You know he's got a major bounty on his head."
"How much?" The other inquired. He rubbed his thumb and fingers together.
"A very hefty pile. I say we chase him and collect on the bounty."
"Sounds good. Let's get to it."
Marie let them them pass without seeing her. Wordlessly she got back to work.
