Infinite discovery part 77

Tomlin's ship sped off into the distance, all of her crew now aboard. The twin alien ships that had been attacking hung glumly in space. Time past in slow motion. The aliens aboard either ship had no idea what was going on, right up to the end. A pair of explosions rocked the space around them, including Tomlin's ship.

"Aaargh." He yelled aloud.

The concussion waves hit the ship tossing it forward through space. Gravity was lost temporarily. Food and other things waved through the ship.

"Looks like it was bigger than what we thought. Woops." Torn grinned wolfishly. Trent had a severe look on his face but said nothing.

"What's the matter young'un? You some kind of pansy?" Torn looked to him.

Trent finally grinned. "No but I don't like the thought of dieing."

"Neither do I." Torn told him.

Vince Vaan part 71

Toque watched them go with glee. He continued flipping burgers knowing his time with the company was limited.

Matthew came downstairs to inspect the restaurant. He noted the change in Toque in passing. He gathered something had happened though he didn't know what.

Tomlin keyed in his communicator. "Torn do you copy?"

"Read you loud and clear boss."

"Are the depth charges in place?"

"Aye sir, they are on the reactors themselves. It was some fun blowing up these alien scum."

Tomlin grinned back at the ship. He hit a button on his communicator. "Trent are you and your boys set up?"

"Aye sir. We are good to go."

Tomlin nodded a few times. "Then you boys get your butts back here. Let those aliens find their surprise."

Vince Vaan part 70

He looked like an army commando but what he was offering wasn't army services. Matthew listened intently.

"Tealeaves, fresh from the ground in bulk. We've got enough to keep your restaurant stocked for ages. We'll sell them to you for half price."

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Matthew looked at him in awe. "And to what do I owe the pleasure of this acquaintance?"

"Our benefactor wishes to remain anonymous. Do we have a deal?"

"Certainly." Matthew told him.

He nodded. "I'll get my boys to bring it out here at once."

Aliens throughout the twin ships cackled to one another in their quaint speech. What was going on? Why did they lose communication from either bridge?

No one knew. Very few would know as the humans made their way to the engineering rooms.

Vince Vaan part 69

For whatever purpose Toque did not feel the weight of his actions. Few guest why and fewer still guessed at what he did with his money. Matthew only asked for his work in return for the money he had handed over. No one really knew what he did with his money. No one, except a few select people. And they were quickly growing.

Toque got some good news when a certain beret wearing man showed up at the restaurant.

"Torn, how's your team coming?" Tomlin said on the communique. Torn unleashed another salvo obliterating would be warriors into a million pieces.

"Damn good. No casualties so far. These guys fight like pansy asses."

"Good. Make sure they're all dead."

"Will do boss." Torn told him. His crew laughed aloud with wicked delight. They hadn't had this much fun... ever.

Vince Vaan part 68

"Here's what's owed, in full." Matthew told the shady character.

"Not so fast!" He said before they turned to leave. "I require interest."

Matthew passed a look to the already disgraceful look on Toque's face. He handed over the said amount.
