Nova watched him go. She didn't want him to leave and yet she knew he had to go. It was the final step in securing their future. She waved as he passed out of sight.
Jim had decided to head south where he knew that two of them were close together. If he didn't find one he would go for another one, a different one which was not that far off. The only problem; he hadn't been that far in a long time. Who knows what he would find.

Evergreen part 14
It had to be done, that was for sure. Still, Jim knew of only three places around where a generator use to be. He didn't know for sure if they were still there or not, it was only a guess.
Somewhat reluctantly he decided to go. Nothing was going to stop him from giving them a future, not gangs or warlords.

Evergreen part 13
"It's good we have one." Jim told her. "But if we want food we'll need a power source that lasts."
Nova shrugged. "At least we have food now right?"
"It won't last." Jim told her. "These things eat up electricity like nothing else."

Evergreen part 12
"Is that what I think it is?" Nova asked inclining her head.
"Yeah, I can't believe it but here it is." Jim told her as he held up the replicator.
"Does it still work?" Nova asked.
"That's what we are going to find out." Jim told her. He set it down and plugged it in to the spare battery they had.
Jim spoke into it like he knew he had to. "Computer, eggs, scrambled."
A light appeared in the center of the device and soon it was lit up entirely. When the light faded a plate bearing eggs shown before them.
Nova came back excited. Jim however wasn't so excited. "What's wrong Jim?"

Evergreen part 11
Nova worried every time he had to go out for food. She knew that radicalism quite literally roamed the streets, and to go into the wrong neighborhood meant death. He assured her that the path he took was a safe one and that the lords of the Depo could be trusted, but still she was fraught with worry.
It wasn't much longer later that he came home.

Evergreen Part 10
The old man was dressed in filthy rags. He hobbled down the street as though as though it were bright and sunshiny out. Suddenly he collapsed on the sidewalk.
Jim pulled up and got out to inspect him. To his dismay the old timer was dead.
"Well, I can't just leave you here."
It was then he noticed it.

Sorry about Wednesday everyone
I had to work a third shift the night before and have been busy/forgetful to say anything about it. Tomorrow might be a little iffy at best.
