They just stood there, tough looking brutes. They looked like they could match Barbara's boys one for one. Barbara sized them up and thought a physical confrontation would be out of the question, lest they lose.
Suddenly they turned back, all at once. As they left one of her men snorted "What a bunch of wusses."
Barb didn't even bother replying. Her eyes narrowed. She then turned to Steve and Nancy. "You can get back to work now, I'm sure they won't bother you further."
